that history you mention we europeans live with was actually one of the few things i really missed when i lived in NY. the fact you could be walking down a london street and suddenly be alongside a roman wall – over 2000 years old! – or something. amazing. in all the times i’ve been to paris, i’ve never been to the louvre; i hope in all your exploration you can give me an expert guided tour when i’m over.
