à la recherche du temps trouvé
Well that was fun, sorting through the artwork that has meant so much to me. I thought I might just pull a few key ones together to remind me why I’m an artist in the first place, but instead I’ve opened the floodgates. There are just too many to mention, from my first glimpses as a kid (Chagall, Miró) to new loves (Cornelia Parker, Dario Robleto), constant guides (Kiki Smith, Louise Bourgeois) and particular joys (Eija-Liisa Ahtila, Tony Fitzpatrick)... It’s just so good to get my eyes focused on art (and only art) again.
And so, to that same end, I am running away. A few months in a foreign land with few (tho’ new) distractions, and a suitcase full of paper scraps. I will write again soon.
